Too many individual errors

Eastern Province Head Coach, Carlos Spencer said it was a case of too many individual errors that cost his team when they lost to the Vodacom Blue Bulls in their return match at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth on Friday evening. 

Despite trailing by five points at half time, the Bulls scored a further two tries and a penalty in the second half to secure a 28 - 13 win. Bulls flyhalf, Jacques-Louis Potgieter opened the scoring for the Bulls through a penalty after eight minutes, to take a 3 - 0 lead. 

Bulls center, William Small-Smith crossed the line to score the Bulls' first try with 24 minutes gone, Potgieter was unable to convert the extra's as the Bulls took an 8 - 0 lead. 

Kings managed to narrow the gap by two points with two Scott van Breda penalties, but another penalty on half time by Potgieter gave the Bulls an 11 - 6 lead as the whistle blew for half time. 

Bjorn Basson scored an early second half try for the Bulls as they took a comfortable 18 - 6 lead, after the successful conversion by Potgieter. 

Potgieter added another penalty, before Bulls captain, Deon Stegmann scored his teams third try. Potgieter converted the extra's as the game was pretty much over for the Kings at 28 - 6 with 15 minutes to go. 

Akona Ndungane scored his teams bonus point try, but it was disallowed after Stegmann was red carded for striking a Kings player in the face leading up to the try. 

The Kings scored a consilation try well after the 80 minutes as Darron Nel crashed over the try line to score his teams first try. His try was converted by Tobie Botes as the game ended 13 - 28 in favour of the visiting Bulls.
