The Kings faithful, the Red & Black Army opened a Red & Black Army Fund on Friday evening in an attempt to help the Eastern Province players that have not received any salaries for the last two months.
The Red & Black Army chairman, Stuart Weir along with Gary Gravett (Legal Representative),
Robert William Blignault, (Ex EP Rugby Player), Graeme Sauls (Businessman and Sports Administrator), Tim Whitehead (Players Representative) will oversee the funds, and distribute as need be.
As of this morning 32 donations have been deposited, with the biggest being a R1000. A total amount of R7048.60 has been deposited since Friday evening.
Even though Whitehead took the bold step to leave when he did, and is currently in Cape Town, he is extremely excited to be part of this initiative.
