EP Kings suffer second defeat

The Eastern Province Kings suffered their second Currie Cup First Division defeat when they faced the Welwitschias at the Hage Geingob Stadium in Windhoek on Saturday afternoon.

The visitors managed to secure a four try bonus point, but were outscored at the end 51 - 25, after the home side held a comfortable 23 - 8 lead at the break.

The Kings are currently at the bottom of the log with two defeats from two games. The Kings lost their opening round match against Boland, 27 - 40.

The Kings' next match is against the second placed Leopards on the 8th of September at Olen Park in Potchefstroom.

Welwitschias (23) 51 - Tries: Rohan Kitshoff, Thomasau Forbes, Johan Tromp (2), Lesley Klim, Christo van der Merwe. Conversions: Theuns Kotze (6). Penalties: Kotze (3).
