Kings drown at Kingspark

The EP Kings failed to score any points at a wet and slippery Growthpoint Kingspark when they faced The Cell C Sharks in Durban on Saturday afternoon.


It was mission accomplished for the Sharks as they returned to winning ways with a resounding bonus point win over the men from Port Elizabeth.

For the first time this season the Kings failed to score any points as the Sharks scored nine tries and turned a 24 - 0 half-time lead into a 53 - 0 win after eighty minutes.

 Andre Esterhuizen, captain Chilliboy Ralepelle, Jean-Luc du Preez and Inny Radebe scored first half tries. Curwin Bosch converted two of the tries.

The home side added a further five tries in the second half as Michael Claassens, Francios Kleinhans, Etienne Oosthuizen, Wandile Mjekevu and Khaya Majola also added their names to the score card. Springbok flyhalf Pat Lambie, who made a welcomed returned after a long injury layoff, converted two of the tries.
