Southern Kings training on track

The Southern Kings team doctor, Konrad Von Hagen was pleased with the progress of the injured players when the team returned to training after their Christmas break on Monday.


Von Hagen also confirmed that there were no new injuries sustained over the holidays.

The Kings will have two warm-up games against the Border Bulldogs in East London on the 4th of February and the SWD Eagles in Port Elizabeth on the 11th before their first Super Rugby match against the Jaguares on the 25th of February at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth.

The following players, Sintu Manjuezi (knee), Chris Cloete (knee), Tango Balekile (shoulder), Tyler Paul (shoulder), Malcolm Jaer (hamstring), Wandile Mjekevu (foot) are all on track to make full recoveries by the end of the month with only the exception of CJ Velleman (knee) who is expected to make a full recovery in April.
